We’re thrilled that you’ve taken the time to give our ministry a look. Please allow me to share with you a bit about who we are and why we are in Liberty Hill.
Mission Liberty Hill has as its purpose to share the Good News that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. We do this in various ways; from our worship and discipleship training to reaching out to our community through food drives and sponsoring the community Easter Egg hunt. All that we do is about Jesus, rejoicing in all that He has done for us through His suffering, death, and resurrection.
Mission Liberty Hill focuses on the freedom that comes into our lives because of Jesus. All people are born in rebellion against God. The only way that we can be brought into a living and loving relationship with God is to be freed from this rebellion, what is known as sin. This freedom came when Jesus freely offered Himself as the one and only perfect sacrifice for sin. Now that Jesus has lived a perfect life, died in our place, and rose again from the dead we have the liberty to live as people of God.
Mission Liberty Hill remembers that Jesus died for us on a hill outside Jerusalem called Calvary. It was on Calvary that Jesus took all of our sins upon Himself so that through the shedding of His blood we could be reconciled to our heavenly Father. We also remember Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:14, “A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” We know that as disciples of Jesus we are living witnesses of the difference He continually makes in our lives. At Mission Liberty Hill we seek to live as disciples of Jesus, willingly confessing when we sin against God and our neighbor, and celebrating the free gift of forgiveness that is ours in Jesus’ name. We invite you to join us in walking this adventure of faith … learning to love God … learning to love neighbor … trusting in God’s power to make disciples as we are equipped in mission to be sent in mission.
I look forward to getting to know you soon!
